Julia set up her studio in Nottingham’s historic Lace market in 1998 and has since gone on to established her name as a successful artist in the commercial field as well as through the sale and commissioning of her original artworks. Paintings, including commissioned artwork, can be found in private collections as well as distributed internationally in print.

Julia’s work varies from bold abstract painting to figurative, floral, landscape and still life studies in a multitude of styles. Painting techniques incorporate layers of plaster, collage using handmade papers and fabrics as well as the use of acrylics, oils, emulsions and varnishes.

Her work is influenced by land and cityscapes, textiles and architecture. An ability to develop styles and new techniques adds to the wide scope of Julia’s work. Paintings are rich, vibrant and very tactile and offer a unique contemporary twist to each of her subject matters.
